Castaño de Indias was born many years ago as a project between sisters to design special clothing and manufacture it in Spain. Shortly after the initial success, the 2008 crisis came and the brand closed and disappeared.
A few years later, Teresa de la Sota began a new solo project, in which, through her frequent trips around Asia, she found beautiful fabrics, small workshops and very special people who helped her to revive Castaño de Indias.
He began to design and manufacture again with the same enthusiasm... and like life itself, the roller coaster continued, learning from circumstances, from successes and from mistakes... but always with great perseverance and creativity, his best qualities.

Over time, we have created a great team of wonderful women, and we have managed to reach a sweet moment, with very special designs, very elaborate patterns, high-quality fabrics and exceptional suppliers... Creating and strengthening a brand philosophy with a series of values that we try to transmit in each garment.

Values based above all on making conscious collections in terms of exclusive designs and limited quantities, working towards responsible manufacturing with factories of this kind and betting on made in Spain each season a little more, making colour and beautiful prints our hallmark.
ecological line
Always striving to improve, we have introduced a permanent, ecological and sustainable line of cotton blouses that serve as wardrobe staples. This collection, made in Spain, is made with GOTS organic cotton, without pesticides, without toxic chemicals and they are 100% biodegradable garments.
